The AVR
ImpaCt offers a unique solution to hearing
loss. Recent findings indicate that attempting to provide
high frequency amplification may prove futile if hearing thresholds are
60-65dB or poorer in the high frequencies. In these cases, an alternative
to making these sounds louder is required for hearing aids to provide these
individuals with better hearing benefit. ImpaCt Dynamic Speech Re-Coding
(DSR) hearing aids do more than just make things louder. ImpaCt's
digital analyzer actually tracks speech. When critical high-frequency speech
information is detected, ImpaCt changes this information to lower frequencies
where individuals have better hearing, fitting the entire bandwidth and
dynamic range of speech signals into the narrow and restricted window of your residual hearing. In other words, instead of making everything louder, ImpaCt moves the information where you have better residual hearing. ImpaCt is a fully programmable, multi-memory hearing aid.

The AVR
LogiCom™ is
a wireless FM system utilized to improve understanding of speech in the
presence of background noise. While people with normal hearing are
able to understand speech even when the ambient noise is louder than the
speech, hearing-impaired people can barely understand speech from a distance
in a noisy or reverberant environment. FM technology is currently the best
way to truly preserve speech in the presence of background noise. The LogiCom
