Katherine J. Pollard is originally from Mt. Kisco, NY.  As a small child, she lived in Iceland for three years before returning to New York and eventually moving to Birmingham, Alabama, where she was reared.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 1993 and completed her Master of Science degree in Audiology in 1995 at the University of Montevallo.  She completed her CFY at ENT Associates of Alabama in 1997 and subsequently worked there until 1999.  She then moved to Atlanta to train at The Emory Clinic Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Center in the treatment of tinnitus.  Upon leaving Emory, she practiced in Atlanta, with local otolaryngologists as well as being director of Audiology at the Alliance Tinnitus and Hyperacusis Center.  In 2003, she received her clinical Doctorate of Audiology, Au.D., from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. In 2008, Dr. Pollard underwent additional training to become a certified provider for Neuromonics, a tinnitus treatment device.

 Dr. Pollard is licensed by the state of Georgia as an Audiologist and is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology.  She is a charter member of the Georgia Academy of Audiology (GAA) and served as its president in 2005-2006.  In 2008, she received Honors of the Association for Outstanding Service to the Academy.  She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and serves on the State Leaders Committee and Governmental Relations Committee for the Academy.  She is also a member of the Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Association and the American Tinnitus Association.  Dr. Pollard has lectured around the Southeast on the subject of tinnitus. In 1988, she was selected by the Governor of Alabama to be a Student Ambassador to the (now former) Soviet Union. In 1989, she was awarded The Good Citizenship Medal by The Sons of the American Revolution.

 Dr. Pollard became associated with Audiological Consultants of Atlanta in September 2006 and is based in our Marietta and Sandy Springs offices.  Dr. Pollard resides in Marietta with her husband, twin daughters and son.
